Compatible ECUs

Tirenex transmits 29-bit extended CAN frames at 1 Mbit/s using IEEE 754 float encoding. It impersonates a Holley IO Module 8, which makes it natively compatible with the Holley Terminator family of ECUs without any custom calibration work on your part.

Any ECU that can ingest custom CAN messages can also work with Tirenex — the protocol is documented and we provide channel mapping documentation in the Downloads section.

Verified — plug and play

These ECUs have been tested against the production Tirenex firmware and confirmed receiving valid PSI and temperature data.

Direct testing needed

These ECUs are CAN-equipped and capable of receiving Tirenex data, but further testing is required.

Brand Model Status Notes
Holley HP EFI Needs Verification CAN-equipped, supports custom messages.
Holley Sniper 2 Needs Verification CAN-equipped, supports custom messages.
FuelTech FT450 / FT550 / FT600 Needs Verification Supports custom CAN inputs via FTManager.
Haltech Elite / Nexus series Needs Verification Supports custom CAN inputs via NSP.
MoTeC M1 series Needs Verification Custom CAN templates required.
AEM Infinity series Needs Verification Custom CAN configuration required.

No ECU? No problem.

You don’t need an ECU to use Tirenex. The optional Tirenex display module gives you full tire intelligence as a standalone system — pair the Base receiver with a 2.0″ touchscreen and run it on its own circuit.

Support for ECUs other than Holley Terminator X and Dominator will require direct testing and development.
